The 2010 Tucson Bird Count is
underway, but there are still some un-adopted routes, so
please consider joining our efforts! Participating is easy
- you adopt a route of your choice, survey birds at designated
sites along the route on the morning of your choice, and
then enter your data online! If you are interested, please
see the Participation Overview
for information on how to register and adopt a route for
this year's count. The count will run from April 15-May 15,
and there are routes available all over the city (map
of routes). |

PARK MONITORS NEEDED!
With the 2009 annual count successfully completed, we
are trying to find a few good birders to adopt some of
our available Park sites (which are monitored quarterly).
Great spots like Tanque Verde Wash, Tucson Botanical Gardens,
Case Natural Resources Park, and the Cortaro Mesquite
Bosque are all available. Visit
our Park Monitoring page for more info! |

How can you help?
| |
Lend your birding skills to bird monitoring,
science, and conservation. Adopt a route for our annual
spring count (April 15 - May 15), or choose your own area
to adopt for the Park Monitoring
Program. Then, spend a morning (of your choosing)
counting birds on your area, and enter your data on-line.
You'll see results, including distribution maps
for most species observed, on this website. See the Participation
Overview for more info. |
